About NAVP

Veterinary Physiotherapy is not currently a chartered or regulated profession in the UK. However, the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) is widely recognised within the industry for its commitment to self-regulation. NAVP ensures that all members have achieved a recognised minimum qualification at Level 6 (BSc degree or equivalent), alongside comprehensive practical training, to uphold the highest standards of animal welfare in therapeutic practice.

NAVP is at the forefront of advancing professional standards in Veterinary Physiotherapy and promoting excellence in animal care. All members adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and Conditions of Membership, reflecting the Association’s dedication to ethical and responsible practice.

New members join as Category 2 members, receiving ongoing support and mentorship from experienced professionals. Upon meeting additional criteria, members progress to Category 1 status, signifying advanced professional standing within the Association.
